I’ve somehow been working on this for three years or so, but I’m not sure where to take it next.

It’s a tool to create stop-motion/time-lapse videos, intended for use over a long period of time. Think, maybe, recording the growth of a tree, watching a building site construction, or tracking the changing seasons.

Snap your first picture, then return to the same place every day and add the next frame. The built-in guide helps you line up the shot, and the app re-builds the animation automatically.

Some exciting plans for the future:

  • I’ve been testing some AI-assisted image alignment systems to automatically make smoother videos
  • I’m planning to add frame-by-frame tweaking of the output, and lots of output format options

So here’s a beta release. Very much an MVP at the moment.
