My neighbours re-built their extension. I took a picture of it every morning to generate this:

I’d been building up an animation of the local lake for a few months, one picture a day. It became clear that even carefully pointing my phone camera at the same place each day was creating quite a jumpy animation; the pictures don’t quite line up. This is what it looked like:

I’ve somehow been working on this for three years or so, but I’m not sure where to take it next.

A brief stint playing an old strategy game when I was very young left me with a long-standing desire to make something similar. After a few false starts, it was the release of the Android platform that finally got me on the way to creating my vision of a simple-yet-deep multiplayer strategy game.
